Dear Elected Officials,

As you know, the Mayor and the City Council established a Charter Review Committee to review the City of Methuen’s Home Rule Charter. Over the past few months, the committee has been working diligently to propose important changes for adoption by the City Council, followed by approval from the state legislature, and ultimately, the voters.

Before we conduct our final review, we will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 10, at 6:45 PM in the Great Hall of the Searles Building. We encourage you to attend and provide feedback that will help us make the necessary adjustments to this critical document.

I spoke with the Council Chair who will announce the hearing during the Council meeting.
